Monogamy - The Hot Affair Board Game

I bought this game for Valentines day and what a mistake of my life.
This game is probably for someone who loves lots of food and it's alcoholic and did not had shower yet .! We played this game night time in the bed. We've eaten so we skipted eating challenges, we were in clean bed so didn't want to bring food, cream or anything like that to freshly made bed. We don't drink alcohol so skipted drinking part as well. Next break time, serious? We haven't even started yet! Skip that part , too. Strip part take some clothes off, that didn't take long as we were lightly dressed already... Now we are laying naked next to each other waiting for more exiting activities to come! Monogamy cards part... More food, drinks and shower!
Who made this game? We had a shower, we eaten, we are full of water!!! Make plans for future... OK but we are playing now!why shall we make plan for week ahead we are playing right now laying naked here,( hello we need some action) ... Let's make notes so we don't forget what we need to do in weeks ahead. Where is pen and paper when you need it? Done notes. Looking at each other hoping some help will come from somewhere soon. More cards and more skipping through them because we don't want to eat anything.... As we go along more notes taken for future, I have whole list now. Finally we got to most exiting parts of the game but we are so fed up reading cards and trying to find something we can actually do right now instead of weeks ahead and plans. That we decided not to play it anymore. What on hell was that about. We feel so awkward that we just put our clothes back on and went to sleep.. Really? This game supposed to turn you on not off. Literally I felt like crying. Game is at the back of the cupboard and that's where its stays forever.
Some people said this game brings you closer but in my case it worked opposite direction

Our relationship was pretty solid , but post children being tired all the time, using my imagination to be romantic ... making the effort in our sex life ... we were both exhausted. I bought this game as we both love board games, we both laughed till we cried, cuddled, kissed and much more - It was so nice that the cards give direction to a saucy night and do things that otherwise I might have been too shy (Or tired) to do. I would fully recommend this for any relationship we play it ALL the time !

This game is great and easy to understand. It’s light hearted but gives you a laugh and is great at bringing you and your partner closer. It does start slower so it’s not too full on from the start, giving you time to warm up to it. It’s a good game for couples that haven’t used adult games before (I hadn’t before this). It’s definitely aimed at a nice romantic night in, great for special occassions! 

After being pretty disappointed in a sex card game we got recently, I was very happy with the first night we spent playing Monogamy.

I'd like to see some sort of expansion set available for homosexual/bisexual individuals as well as nonbinary gender folk. HOWEVER! That's not to say the game is impossible to play without being a heterosexual m-f couple. You simply have to mix up the words on the cards a little.

As long as you don't mind altering the cards to suit your needs, this game provides a mischievous and often hilarious experience.

I would say that being aware of the need for certain items is important. I didn't realise feeding your partner was a regular expectation. When we landed on the "food" squares we just took shots instead. Which... I don't recommend if you'd rather not get completely sloshed!

I also think some of the cards require the players to not only be 18+ but also have actual sense. Like the fantasy card involving sex in public. I guess the assumption is if you're an adult you'll know what is sensible in such an activity, etc., however I know from experience that isn't the case!

So be safe, sensible, and, if you're going to give this game a go, here's a list of extras you might want to have on hand:

- sexy food like cherries/whipped cream
- a feather tickler
- candles specifically made for dripping onto the skin
- a few sheets you don't need and can cut holes in
