Having tried parachutes, weighted leather straps, neoprene tubes and steel collars, these are some of the best. Previous collars I've worn have been squarer in section, and these are more comfortable. The down sides are that they are slightly lighter, and for no good reason I can understand I'm slightly more likely to pinch some skin with these than with those that fasten with two bolts. The quality of the fit of the two halves was worse than my previous one, with light being visible between the two halves on both rings.
