Male Genital Organs – A Primer

An Introduction To The Male Reproductive System

For men to enjoy their sex play and sex toys better, it is vitally important that they understand their reproductive system. If a man and his partner understand which parts of his sex organs are most sensitive, and why, they will enjoy sex play much more.

The penis and scrotus (and testes) are located outside the body. The vas deferens and prostate gland are located inside the body. The penis and urethra are part of both a man's urinary and reproductive systems.

The Penis

The penis is comprised of three parts – the root, the body, and the glans penis. The glans penis is otherwise known as the head. The base of the head is called the corona. The body is the shaft, and the root is the base. Uncircumized males have a foreskin (prepuce) that extends from the corona to cover the head. The urethra extends through the penis and exits at the head.

The best way to stimulate your penis is by using one of our male masturbators, realistic vibrating vagina, cock rings or one of our fabulous sex dolls. And if you are looking to enlarge your penis you should definately check out our penis pump and penis extender sections. You can find any of these sex toys in our male sex toys section.

The shaft of the penis is made from three areas of erectile tissue. The corpora cavernosa are two areas (sinuses) that are side-by-side in the shaft. The third, called the corpus spongiosum, surrounds the urethra and ends at the head. The penis becomes erect when these three spaces fill with blood.

The Scrotum And Testes

The scrotum holds the testicles (balls). It's a sack that keeps the testicles at a steady temperature, which is important for the manufacture of sperm. The cremaster muscles control if the scrotum is away from the body to keep cool or brought up closer to the body for warmth, protection, or during sexual arousal.

The testes, also known as balls, manufacture sperm and testosterone. They are two oval-shaped organs held inside the scrotum. One ball, usually the left one, often hangs lower than the right one. The epididymis is a coiled tube almost 20 feet flong. It collects sperm from the testes. It also gives space for sperm to mature. One epididymis lies against each testicle.

The Vas Defrens And Prostate

The vas deferens transports sperm from the epididymis. One duct travels from each epididymis to the back of the prostate gland and joins with the seminal vesicle. The urethra transports both urine and semen from the body.

The prostate lies inside the body just under the bladder and it surrounds the urethra. The seminal vesicles are located just above the prostate. They and the prostate make semen for the sperm. Many men experience great sexual pleasure when their prostates are massaged. Sex toys that stimulate the prostate as well as prostate milking are very popular with men and their partners. Check out our best-selling prostate massager in our anal toys section.
