Cock Ring Guide

A cock ring is a ring or tie that fits over the shaft of the penis and sits comfortably at the base. Made from a variety of different materials ranging from lightweight and flexible rubber, to heavy and firm metal rings.

The purpose of a cock ring is to retain blood in the penis making for a harder and longer erection. They increase the sensitivity to the head and shaft of the penis and can be used alone in masturbation or with a partner.

How to Wear

Cock rings can be worn in many ways, it all comes down to preference. They're usually worn on the base of the penis to limit blood flow to create a longer and harder erection. However, you can also wear them just below the head or in the middle of the penis - whatever is most comfortable for you at the time.

Types of Cock Rings

Vibrating Cock Rings - A cock ring can include a vibrating attachment to pleasure both partners. They usually have bullets attached to them that stimulate the clitoris and penis during intercourse. Some bullets also have nubs to add extra stimulation.

Double Cock Rings - There is simply no excuse in excluding your testicles from the pleasure equation. With a ring for both the shaft and the balls, the double cock ring is much more stable and can deliver intense sensation. Some come with a vibrating bullet below for extra stimulation, however it's advised that if you're looking for a longer and harder erection, don't opt for the vibrations.

Adjustable Cock Rings - If you're looking for a firm grip, but want to be able to change how tight it can be, then one of these will be your best bet. Find out what level on constriction suits you, whether it's a tight fit or loosely sitting.

They're perfect for those with a bigger girth as it'll allow you to loosen the cock ring up around your shaft as needed. This will help you build up stamina and girth with you erection, leading to a longer lasting experience.

Textured - Many cock rings have nodules, bumps, or raised textures that are usually made from stretchy and flexible materials. These are designed for added pleasure as both male and female stimulation is achieved.

Materials

Cock rings are usually made of metal, rubber/silicone or leather. Some may look like medieval torture devices, but don't be put off by the different styles.

Metal Cock Rings - Men enjoy the feeling of metal on their penis and scrotum due to the weight it carries. Whilst this is not for beginners, as it can be difficult to remove once finished. Allow time for your erection to really soften up before removing.

Rubber/Silicone Cock Rings - Ideal for a comfortable and flexible fit, these types of cock ring are easy to put on and remove all the while offering firm support. They hold vibrating elements easily, and can incorporate extra stimulation in to your cock ring play.

Leather Cock Straps - Perfect for emphasising the appearance of your penis and balls, the cock strap is designed to be worn around the base of the penis and around the testicles. They squeeze you firmly to establish harder erections and make your balls stand out. Made in many styles and variations, they are the perfect decoration to put your penis at the forefront of attention.

How to Choose the Right Size

For the best fit, measure around the base of your penis when it's flaccid, not erect. The correct fit means that the cock ring will not fall off once soft. There are models designed to include your testicles as well, or your testicles alone - for them you need to measure the width you'll need to comfortably pop it around your testicles.

Use Lube

It is recommended that you use plenty of lube with a cock ring as this will help you put it on much more comfortably and assist you removing it afterwards. This also increases the level of pleasure and comfort for you and your partner.

If you're using a silicone cock ring, please be aware that you should ONLY be using water based lubricants as other types will damage the material.

Limit Wearing Time

Don't ever wear your cock ring for longer than 30 minutes at a time. Much like penis pumps, cock rings retain blood in the penis, but restricting the blood flow for long periods of time can lead to permanent nerve damage, so never keep one on for longer than half an hour.

How to Remove

Removing the cock ring is a simpler task, just ensure your erection has fully softened and simply slip it off. If needed, use lubricant to loosen up the cock ring.
